The School Crest encapsulates the many facets of the school community and its environmental heritage. The cross signifies the Christian denomination of the school and the Catholic ethos which is an integral part of the school curriculum. The Romanesque arch depicts the entrance to Dysart medieval church and refers to the Parish in which the school is located. The quill and the scroll recall Ballintleva as a seat of learning which has provided educational training and formation for generations of children for the greater part of two centuries. The colours primrose and blue as well as green and red displayed on the crest illustrate the school catchment area covering part of the Parishes of Dysart and Cam. (F. Beirne)
